Part 2: Why is ultimate reality Śūnyatā?

Light
Light forms everything and is the basis for all of material reality. Light condenses in the microcosm through a coalescence function to form the sub-atomic particles, that bond together to form the atomic particles that combine in various combinations to form the atoms and so forth to create the material elements of the world. The spiralling nature of the coalescence function gives the centralised spin and attraction of the particles to each other and the orbital distributions of the electrons.

In the macrocosm, material elements coalesce through a spiralling function giving rise to stars, the planets, their orbits and the general rotation of the galaxy itself. In this way we can see that all matter is made of light that is the original energy of the Creator. From the macrocosm to the microcosm, all matter is the material body of the Creator.

Mind Consciousness
Embedded in this light is Consciousness and thus all things are alive and part of the universal consciousness or infinite intelligence. But there are inanimate and animate objects? While all things are embedded with this universal consciousness, it is only in the animate objects where that conscious is sufficiently focused to provide movement and motivation. From the tiniest amoeba to the largest vertebrate, mind-consciousness grows by degrees commensurate with organisation complexity. Hence we can see organisms seek out food, grow and procreate within a range of differing characteristics and behaviours. In the inanimate objects, consciousness is passive and receptive.

Spirit
As the mind consciousness develops along with the complexity of the organism and its existential environment, the threshold of self-awareness is breached and a focal point for individuated intelligence within a self-identifying organism is attained. This level of consciousness is an independent co-Creator operating upon, as well as within the physical realm.

As with the development of mind consciousness, the spirit that has manifested within the mind-body complex of the animate organism can develop also through the increasing complexity of its experiences as another form of life within the fractal, self-referential, conscious creation. The life of the spirit is necessarily different and diverse from life of the organism, or Mind/Body complex, within which it was spawned. Self-aware consciousness once established, chooses to maintain its integrity as a co-Creator to experience the creation and develop its awareness. As consciousness exists independently to the coalescence of matter (form), the various consciousness foci that manifest in the creation (spirit) transcend the death of the material body, existing in the immaterial sense before binding to newly formed organisms capable of sustaining their (spiritual) development. Hence the cycle of re-birth is established as the form of development and growth of the spiritual entity.

Therefore, it can be seen that the ego identity we acknowledge to exist independently of the body, is in reality Śūnyatā, or void of any separate existence, being but a singular focus of the universal consciousness in the fractal Creation that is itself inherently conscious.

    1. The image is of the Mandelbrot set which is a 2 dimensional representation of fractal geometry. I selected this picture to represent the imagery I experienced of light manifesting the Creation.
